Apples and plenty of pears

I absolutely love this time of year when the trees in the orchard are laden with fruit. With a little more time on my hands at the moment I am definitely going to try and keep on top of picking what is on offer and sharing the harvest with boaters and visitors to the marina. Our lovely Victoria plum tree is so well laden the branches look as though they are about to break - I do hope not., it will be only a matter of a couple of weeks before they are ready. If you are calling into the boathouse, staying overnight in the camping area or even mooring in the marina, then please pop into the office and pick up an apple or two. Of course with the abundance of blackberries in the hedgerow now all you will need is custard!

Oh yes, one other thing, we are eligible to enter for Inland Marina of the Year this year, and need votes, so if you are reading this and have not yet voted (voting closes on 28th August ) please visit www.tyha.co.uk/VOTE - thank you . Its a numbers game!
