Macmillan success!

What a fabulous Macmillan coffee morning we had! We still cannot believe that we managed, with the help of all our lovely supporters and friends to actually smash last year’s total by an amazing £115!

Yes - you read it hear, we beat last year’s £675 total (which was amazing in itself) and raised an almighty £790.00.

We did it! £790 for Macmillan!

The coffee morning which was held on Friday 25th September, got off to a really cracking start, it was busy, busy from the moment we opened, so much so that half way through the morning we were worried we might sell out of cake! I am glad to report however we didn’t !

Throughout the day everyone just donated, donated and donated again. Pam did a fantastic job on the raffle encouraging everyone to buy at least one strip, which helped to boost our fund raising target no end.

So yesterday having let the raffle run over the weekend, we drew the raffle and counted up the pennies only to all be staggered by the total.

This now of course means the benchmark has been raised still higher. Oh well - what great news it is for Macmillan - and we look forward to doing it all over again in 2021.
