Coffee morning success

Once again our local community did us proud at this year Macmillan coffee morning last week. I can’t believe it but it is our eighth Macmillan coffee morning since we opened in 2016…… and believe it or not some of our regulars have not missed one - not even in COVID. How amazing is that? Thank you you guys - you know who you are!

Anyway the great news is, the sun shone, folks came, visitors bought raffle tickets galore and our dedicated stall holders put on a fabulous display. Our boathouse crew worked tirelessly all day; all the takings from the cakes were sold in the boathouse went towards boosting our final grand total.

So drum roll please ……… this year 2023 you dug so deep that we not only beat last year’s target but we smashed it, raising a fabulous £1350 - all of which will go to the fabulous Macmillan Charity. So a heartfelt thank you to everyone, not forgetting our merry band of bakers who baked, baked and baked.

And as we always say ……. see you next year. Same time! Same place!
