Better late than never!

Well we could not have been more lucky with the day, especially it being mid November. But thanks to everyone’s generosity both in terms of parting with their hard earned cash and time, we managed to raise a totally fabulous £1176.50 for Macmillan.

We were not really expecting to raise so much money this year after having to postpone our annual event due to atrocious weather. Not only was our annual coffee morning 6 weeks later than the usual last Friday of September, but we fully expected the weather to let us down, but it didn’t. It might have been a little bit breezy but our stall holders stuck firm and carried on and selling. So well done team!

Our raffle raised nearly two thirds of the cash which was amazing, so many thanks to Julie BW and the boathouse team for promoting raffle ticket sales the week before - it made a huge difference. it really did. Of course we have to thank our suppliers for being so generous and providing some amazing prizes. You’re all stars.

A great result and thanks to all - we will be back next September. A picture showing our final result follows shortly but we just wanted to share our good news whilst it is still hot!
