Lockdown covered

I know we are all in the same “boat” so to speak but we really are missing the happy smiley faces of all our boaters and visitors and of course the general hustle and bustle of marina life.

Fortunately Gary is safe and feeling well, he has everything covered and with the office mostly unmanned now, is keeping a daily, watchful eye on everyone’s boats and making sure they are safely moored and in good order.

With the busy boating season normally on the brink of getting underway, we really cannot wait for the restrictions to be lifted and to see all the locks on the River Nene open to allow free passage up towards the Grand Union at Northampton and of course down stream towards Peterborough and beyond. Every year since we opened we have had several regular boaters call in and stay at the marina for a few days at the start of their Summer cruising adventure and we miss them too! We do hope they are all safe and well.

Hopefully if everyone abides by the rules and the number of cases begin to drop then we will begin to see a new normality return , whatever shape and size that might be.

The countryside is looking fabulous and evidently air pollution has dropped dramatically, so there are some positives to be taken from this crisis.

If however you feel like a positivity boost then check out this link - it will make you feel so much better.

Stay safe !
