Under starter's orders

Well happy May everyone - here we are again! And according to my diary it should have been May Day bank holiday, but of course it has been postponed until Friday for all the VE Day celebrations, and someone forgot to mention it to the diary publishers!

Just to think in a normal year we would be seeing boats charging up and down the River Nene on their way to enjoy their Summer cruising adventures.

Never mind its not to be just yet and there is very little point in us brooding over the situation; it is so important that we all stay positive, safe and strong and take time out to really appreciate what is around us. Maybe by the weekend we will have some more Government guidance which will hopefully give us a clue as to which direction we should be going. Lets hope so.

Normally in May we revert to our longer Summer hours which are 8.30am - 5.30pm - however with lock down currently in place there seems very little point in changing from the Winter hours just yet. We will of course keep you posted as and when we make any changes. I must admit we are all missing our lovely boathouse team tremendously, and can not wait until we are all back together again.

In the meantime, stay safe and we look forward to welcoming all our new boaters sooner rather than later as well of course as our old friends who call in each year.
