Her Majesty the Queen

On Thursday 8th September we were so so saddened to hear that our lovely Queen Elizabeth II had passed away. She has been an invaluable constant in all of our lives, and as such there was a feeling across the marina that something needed to be done to mark this most historic and sad moment. Luckily one of our boaters was on site performed the last post which certainly hit the right note as the flags flew at half mast, giving everyone a chance to reflect. Its been a strange old few days one way and another ever since.

We will as a mark of respect, be closing the entire marina site including the boathouse all day on Monday 19th September; this will enable all our team to watch the State funeral if they so wish.

We will revert back to normal opening hours on Tuesday 20th September when the boathouse will also be open.

On another note, as young people across the country either begin their university lives for the first time this week or are returning to uni, I would like to take this opportunity to thank our University students for all their hard work throughout the Summer and to wish them all the very best of luck in the future. We will miss them but look forward to seeing them pop in when they are home.
