George is on board

We are so happy to announce that Georgina Wickham has been appointed our new Marina Manager.

Georgina (aka George) who has a wealth of boating knowledge, has been managing marinas for the past five years and last month joined the White Mills Marina team. And she has already become a much welcomed member by the entire White Mills community

Now well settled, commenting on her new role George said:

“I am thrilled to have joined White Mills Marina and I am so looking forward to not only attracting more boaters to the marina itself but to also introduce them to the stunning, under used, tranquil River Nene. It is quite simply an incredibly beautiful river, and I could not be happier being a part of it.”

George knows boats and inland boating inside out and can even tell a gear box just by its sound! She has boated since she was 16; her first boat was a 44’ back end of a butty boat called Joanne which was followed by 70’ narrowboat Seamus.

A keen clarinettist, a little known fact is that George’s claim to fame was being a roadie for Jules Holland.

George’s reputation for her fabulous people skills combined with her experience, enthusiasm and can-do attitude will be a huge benefit and we look forward to seeing the marina flourish under her guidance.

Enormously keen to welcome new moorers, George is already planning a series of promotional events and is always happy to give boaters a 1:1 tour of the marina. Anyone interested in finding out more should call George on 07802890874
