Woofs at White Mills

There is nothing like hitting the ground running and since George arrived in May, and our beautiful River Nene fully opened - it has been full steam ahead here at White Mills Marina. In June, we hosted a White Mills does Glastonbury BBQ in the stretch tent which was attended by around 100 boaters and friends of boaters which successfully raised a little bit of cash for this year’s chosen charity the Hope Centre. Many thanks to those involved - it was a great success and a fabulous opportunity for everyone to get together.

The marina has seen a number of new boaters popping in to reserve their berths - some familiar faces have decided to return for the Winter whilst others simply fancy a change from the canals and want to enjoy everything that a stunningly beautiful and relatively peaceful river like the River Nene has to offer.

Looking ahead, plans are afoot for Woofs at White Mills on Saturday 21st September which is raising funds for Home Run Hounds

The event which runs from 10am to 4pm includes a fun dog show, sausage bobbing, face painting, stalls and much more including meet the greyhounds.

A week later we will be hosting our Annual Macmillan Coffee morning on Friday 27th September. As ever we are determined to beat last years total of £1350.00 which will be some task……. but as you all know we do enjoy a challenge. If you fancy getting involved or would like to have a stall, then please call the office on 01604 812057 to reserve your spot.

Don’t forget our horse trailer Number 9 is now open from Thursday - Sunday providing refreshments for those who want to grab and go. So far it has proved to be very popular and we feel sure it will be in much demand over the next 6 - 8 weeks. Why not give it a go!
