Green flag flies again (at last)

What great news, after months and months and months of the River Nene being closed for navigation, it was absolutely wonderful yesterday to be informed by the EA that the River Nene is now open for business and that we can raise the green flag. Navigation of the River Nene may not be back to the “norm” but boaters can at least get out and about for short journeys and enjoy everything that the River Nene has to offer, and I must admit it all looks pretty darned lovely out there! Restrictions for canoes, kayaks and paddle boards were all lifted last week, so there is likely to be quite a lot of activity this bank holiday weekend - (that is if the wind drops!) and we can’t wait to see boaters “toing” and “froing”!

The marina is still adhering to Government guidance and is on lock down, which basically means that we can not as yet accommodate any visitors or over night stays whether you are a boater or camper. We are however open for pump outs and diesel as well as gas, coal, logs and basic chandlery items, so if you are passing and need any essential items, please do call ahead on 07802 890874 and we will do what we can to help.

Happy bank holiday everyone!
