Give us a clue!

What fun we had on Saturday when BBC Radio Northampton swung by as part of their regular Saturday Morning Treasure Quest challenge. Each Saturday BBC Radio Northampton go head to head against Three Counties Radio to see who can find their county’s hidden treasure first.

Hosted by Jonathan Vernon-Smith, White Mills Marina was the first clue so were were all ready and waiting to go as soon the programme got underway. It did take listeners a little time to work out the very cryptic clue but once a couple of suggestions were put forward then Jules our local lass and her lovely driver were on their way. And they soon found us!

It was definitely a whistle stop drop in, it was such a shame the duo did not have time for a piece of cake or a cup of tea even….. but they have promised to be back. On this particular challenge, Three Counties pipped Radio Northampton to the post, but as they say there is always another day…… Thankyou to the team for including us it was fun.

Treasure Quest 23/07/2022 - It just goes to show the power of local radio as a listener from Luton drove all the way to come and visit our boathouse cafe on Sunday - how amazing is that? And she said she would be back too!

P.S. Forgot to say - Don’t forget - as from today the boathouse will be open seven days a week ! So make sure you pop in and if that is not enough good news for one morning……. to make sure we have everything covered we are putting up the stretch tent tomorrow. Woohoo!
